It gets hotttttt in San Diego, especially in the summer. If you want sunny warm weather 360 days a year, you are living in the right place! My kids and I are always looking for ways to stay cool, but the malls get crowded, the beach is sandy, and ice cream only works for a short amount of time.
So, we have decided to discover every pool, splash pad, and water park that San Diego has to offer. There are so many places for free, or even a couple of dollars to help us keep nice and cool, and have tons of fun. Plus most of them even offer swim lessons for free or very cheap (awesome bonus, call the location near you to find out details!). I have looked everywhere and asked everyone I know, before finally compiling this awesome list of all the watery fun you and your family need this summer! So grab some towels, sunscreen and bathing suits and get your swim on!

What a great list! I’m excited to try some of the local splash pads.
Wow! I had no idea there were so many options! My kids used to LOVE The Wave in Vista which has something for all ages, from a wave rider to a baby pool and tons in between. So much fun!!!!
WOW! I thought I knew a lot if not all of them, but I was so wrong! Also thanks for including the parking, I had no idea on some of those. I know this list will be saving me this Summer. Thanks! 🙂
alga Norte in Carlsbad, las posas pool and splash pad in San Marcos, woodland park pool in San Marcos…
Awesome list! We use to love the Tierrasanta pool when my boys were little.
