Have You Heard About SoCal’s Hidden Gem? Temecula’s Big Horse Corn Maze and Fall Festival… If you hurry, you can still make it this year!
My family and I recently all drove to Temecula, from different SoCal cities, for a family-fun day at Big Horse Corn Maze and Fall Festival. We had an absolute blast! This hidden gem is definitely worth the trip to Temecula if you don’t live nearby.
Big Horse Corn Maze is the largest corn maze in all of Southern California and they also offer fall-themed festival weekends from September 30th – October 30th. The parking “lot” is NOT dirt, which scored huge points in my book and I found worth the $5 fee. Our family had a blast figuring our way through the corn maze and playing many of the games offered at this huge family friendly festival! People were polite, there is plenty of room for everyone and it’s not crowded like Bates Nut Farm, which has gotten out of hand in the past 10 years. We felt like we could breathe and enjoy our day together celebrating all things fall!
Some of the activities offered: Zip-Lining, Hog Races, Pony Rides, Panning for Gold & other gems, Bubble Jumpy, Knocker Ball, Hula-Hoop Contests, Wagon Rides, Pie Eating Contests, Multiple Food and Drink options including a small Beer and Wine Garden. Please check their website for more info and details.
Recommendation: Bring a lot of water! It was ablaze the day we went and everyone had wished we had brought more water.
On a tight budget? Pack a huge cooler, put it in your trunk for meals and snacks throughout the day. There is no entry fee, so you can go back to your car as many times as needed or wanted. Consider budgeting about $20/kid, to include games and the corn maze, and adults can almost get by spending almost nothing if you plan ahead!
