What do you see when you picture the “traditional” kids summer camp? A setting in sunny woods perhaps, with hiking, canoeing, and s’mores around campfires? The fact is that the definition of a traditional summer camp for kids is changing; with greater acceptance of newer types of summer camps that offer a wide variety of specialized activities.

Included in our SDMB Traditional Camps category are anything that includes the outdoors and education. Your child will blossom as they learn about nature with hands-on experiences. This brief interlude will leave them with a lifetime of memories.
