The day before Christmas Eve, I took my daughter Kaialani, her best friend Suri and her mom Aria to Disney On Ice presents Dare To Dream in Anaheim as an early Christmas present. She dreams of Elsa, we watch Frozen nearly every day—so I knew this show would be a dream come true for her (plus she loves all the other Disney Princesses too, Frozen just happens to be the new hit). As a mother, I love creating and sharing experiences with my daughter. To me, it is the best gift you can give.
More often then not, I find myself bored or ready for these “experiences” to end. Clearly, it’s not about me, it’s all about the joy and happiness that it brings my daughter, which makes it ALL worth it. To preface my next sentence on our experience at Dare to Dream, you should know that typically I base the quality of movies out in the theater purely on the length of time the movie is, the shorter the better.
That being said, Dare to Dream was hands down one of the most magical and entertaining shows I have seen to date!!!
I remember checking the time when we left and I couldn’t believe it was two hours, which typically for me would put it in the “it was good, but way too long” category, but not with this show. The music was phenomenal, we laughed, we cried and it was entertaining from beginning to end. My daughter and her best friend had THE best time ever, which is all that matters in the grand scheme of things, but for me to walk away enjoying it too – well that was just the icing on the cake.
I am SO excited that Disney On Ice presents Dare To Dream is coming to San Diego – January 24th—27th. I mean, look at the pure joy and happiness in our daughter’s faces to the right here. If that doesn’t inspire you to share this experience with your kids, then I am not sure what will.
