At our last Sip Shop Brunch event, Home Learning Company was one of our vendor partners, and I just fell in love with their products.
I had the pleasure of chatting with owner and mother Trina, and it was so inspiring to hear their story and the reason behind why she created these products.
We took home the 3-in-1 Learning Magnets and the first thing out of my daughter’s mouth each morning is “Mommy we need to go change the day!” (referring to the magnets on the fridge. She is three, and we have had the magnets for about 2 months and she is already recognizing the words, so I will tell her today is Monday and she looks at all the magnets and although not all the time, more often than not she is starting to correlate the letters and spellings of each day. It is a fun morning ritual now to explain, “Today is, Yesterday was and Tomorrow is”.

Home Learning Company was born in the kitchen of a small, rural town in Northeast Ohio. I was a stay-at-home mom looking for different ways to teach my toddler son his early learning basics through play. I started creating products and games which we used to “play the day away,” while he learned without even knowing it!

Make it a part of your daily routine, I think the fact we do it every day has really helped her from the “learning” aspect.

Another one of our team members purchased their Mama Mia Meatball Count card game and just like my daughter, her son (4) is addicted to the cards. He has made up his “own” game with the cards, but it has definitely helped with counting and recognizing shapes. Eventually she said she is excited to be able to play the game with him.
