Halloween is just around the corner and soon tiny little superhero’s and mini princesses will be coming to your door for a treat. For years I’d always stock up on candy to give out, but nowadays I like to find things that are a bit more unique and fun.
So heres a list of 10 Halloween treats sans the sweet you can give out this year:
1. MINI GAME BOOKS
These little books are great to keep the fun going after the trick-or-treating has ended. There’s an assortment of games; from mazes, connect the dots, tongue twisters that the whole family can enjoy and play along.
2. FUN STICKERS
You can never go wrong with stickers and this pack has a great variety with fun characters and classic Halloween sayings. To pass these out simply decide how many you’d like to give per child and cut as you go along or pre-cut them ahead of time.
3. SPOOKY STAMPS
Stamps are always a kid-favorite and an easy way to add some Halloween fun. All they need is a slip of paper and they can dream up their very own Halloween scene.
4. SPIDER RINGS
Truthfully, these creep me out. I’ve mistaken them for real spiders before and it’d be embarrassing to admit how that panned out. But, these are perfect for kids! They’ll love sporting their ring and the cool surprise they’ll get when they turn out the lights (these glow in the dark).
5. FUN TEMPORARY TATTOOS
Temporary Tattoos are always a hit for most any event but especially Halloween. This huge pack comes with a ton of different tattoo designs that are sure to please. Plus, they can show off their new cool “tattoo” to all their friends.
6. JACK’O’LANTERN MINI ERASERS
Fun Halloween-themed erasers are not only practical but super cute! These also come in a variety of different face designs so kids can pick out their favorite to take as their treat.
7. VAMPIRE TEETH
Halloween is all about dressing up so these pretend fangs are a fun twist to add into any kids trick-or-treat bag. Plus, they come in colors that both boys and girl will love.
8. MINI STICKY HANDS
My kids have personally approved these and are always a hit. They’re flexible, squishy, and sticky; all things kids love in one simple toy.
9. MINI BUBBLES
These mini bubbles are the perfect size to add just enough extra fun to any Halloween night. Once they’re done, parents could even refill it with their own bubble mix that makes for a great portable toy!
10. NEON ORANGE CRAZY STRAWS
Kids will love these and parents will too. Seeing their faces as their kiddos eyes follow the twists and turns their favorite drink makes before getting to the top is entertaining for them too, and bonus; it comes in this awesome neon orange color that screams Halloween. Double-bonus its BPA-free!!
Well, there you have it! What other treats do you like to give out that don’t come with an automatic sugar rush? Let me know in the comments.
While ditching the candy is a good idea, especially if you are trying to provide something for kids with allergies or something without sugar and food dyes, it is also important to make sure cheap toys and books do not contain toxic chemicals or endocrine disruptors. Costumes and face makeup too. I love the idea of giving out something to play with instead of something to eat though!
Thanks for reading Lori 🙂 I am with you. Making that extra effort to keep our kids safe and healthy is so worth it.
Would love to hear what you like to give out for Halloween!
I love the idea of the erasers!!
Thanks Rachel 🙂 thought those were pretty fun too.?
I love Halloween and this list is great
