Calling all local kangaroo enthusiasts!

A search is underway to find an enthusiastic young wildlife explorer to take on the role of a Kangaroo Cleanup Crewmember (KCC) for a day, at one of the most popular wildlife conservation parks in the world (and hint- it’s in our backyard). But hurry- the application deadline is just days away!

Kids Only: Join the Kangaroo Cleanup Crew and Win Big!

As part of the retail release of its newest kids game, Doo Doo Kangaroo, California-based game company Moose Games is seeking one kangaroo-loving youth (or “joey” in kangaroo), who will win $5,000 and a behind-the-scenes wildlife experience this October.

In partnership with San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, the lucky KCC will enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime conservation-based learning experience, going behind the scenes with a real wildlife care specialist in the popular Walkabout Australia kangaroo habitat at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.

If that sounds like fun-it’s because it is! But parents, before you speed off to enter for your chance to win – know that this cool contest is for kids, only and the entry period is ending soon!

Below is more info on how to enter. Be sure to read the contest rules and then hop to it- the deadline to submit an application is this Friday!

To apply for the contest role, applicants ages 5 to 12 must submit a short video/essay introducing themselves and telling—or showing—why they would make the best KCC, and have their parents complete the application form on https://www.moosetoys.com/kangaroo-cleanup/.

Within their video/essay, kids can tell/show what they love about kangaroos, describe what they would do if they got to spend a day with a kangaroo care specialist (for example, learn about what kangaroos like to eat, or what their favorite job doo-ties are) or share what they want to learn about kangaroos.

The following criteria are not required, but can be taken into consideration by all potential joeys:

  • Will be hop-py to learn about kangaroo conservation, and how they can help.
  • Are comfortable with potty talk (giggling allowed), but won’t use potty language.
  • Have a positive, & the more manure, the merrier mindset.
