Now in its third year, this immersive holiday celebration offers dazzling light displays, festive performances, and seasonal cheer for the entire family. From the moment guests step onto the flight deck, they’ll be surrounded by the sights and sounds of the season, making it an unforgettable night under the stars.
New this year, the Flight Deck Dancing Light Show features a synchronized spectacle of lights and music, creating a truly breathtaking experience. Families can join in the expanded Reindeer Games, search for five mischievous penguins using a Midway Magic Wand scavenger hunt, and belt out their favorite holiday tunes during Christmas Carol Karaoke on select nights. Additional attractions include Christmas crafts, cookie decorating, s’mores, and a festive Santa’s Christmas Rush Virtual Reality Ride, offering an action-packed sleigh adventure through city skylines.
Guests can also enjoy returning favorites like the nostalgic Holiday Model Train Display, Letters to Military station, and delicious seasonal eats including cocoa, popcorn, chili dogs, and more. With festive fun around every corner, Jingle Jets promises to create sparkling holiday memories for San Diego families — a tradition that’s as magical as it is memorable.

The USS Midway was the longest-serving aircraft carrier in the 20th century. Named after the climactic Battle of Midway of June 1942, Midway was built in only 17 months but missed World War II by one week when commissioned on Sept. 10, 1945. Midway was the first in a three-ship class of large carriers that featured an armored flight deck and a powerful air group of 120 planes.
From the beginning of its service, the Midway played key roles in the Cold War. In 1946, it became the first American carrier to operate in the midwinter sub-Arctic, developing new flight deck procedures. The following year, Midway became the only ship to launch a captured German V-2 rocket. The trial’s success became the dawn of naval missile warfare. Just two years after that, Midway sent a large patrol plane aloft to demonstrate that a carrier could deliver atomic bombs.
