Northminster Preschool is a Christian and play-based Preschool that has been caring for children in the Clairemont and University City communities for over 50 years. We provide a safe, nurturing, learning environment for children ages 2 – 5.

We believe that children learn best through hands on experiences. Through a variety of daily play based activities, your child will be offered creative expressions in arts and crafts, games, songs, math concepts, language, science activities as well as, large and small muscle development activities. Our Preschool is very fortunate to have a large campus with two age appropriate playgrounds with lots of outside space for children to play and develop large (gross) motor skills.

In partnership with parents and teachers, we also strive to meet the social-emotional development of each individual child by building strong relationships and connections to aid in their social, spiritual and emotional growth. We have small class sizes with a maximum of 12-15 students and 2 experienced teachers per class for a ratio of 6 or 7.5 students to 1 teacher. This enables us to provide children more nurturing, loving and individualized attention than they will find in a public school setting.
