At LabRats San Diego, kids don’t just stay busy – they get hands-on with real science.

Your child will run experiments, build projects, solve problems, and learn STEM through doing.

They’ll explore chemistry, engineering, biology, and robotics in small, instructor-led groups where every kid gets personal guidance from passionate science teachers.

Parents love that their kids come home more confident and excited about learning.

Imagine your child:

🧪 Working in a real lab
🤖 Building things they’re proud to show you
🧠 Developing confidence, focus, and problem-solving skills
👫 Making friends who love learning too

One of the things that makes our camps special is our Open Makerspace. Students have the freedom to explore all of our STEM Center activities, from The Ultimate Slime Station and Microscopes to the Rocket Launch PadMakers Tower, and Lego Robotics. Kids aren’t just following instructions; they’re choosing their own projects, freely creating, and building on their own.

This is a summer that grows their mind, not just fills their time.

Spots are limited and fill fast.

👉 Enroll now and give your child a summer of discovery, confidence, and hands-on STEM.

Students are welcomed into our STEM Center, where they can dive right into a variety of interactive science stations as everyone arrives.

The Lab: At the heart of our camp is the hands-on Lab, led by real scientists who are passionate about teaching. Each session begins with an interactive lesson that introduces core scientific concepts and the LabRats Code of Honor. Then, the real excitement begins: students dive into authentic experiments across chemistry, videogame coding, engineering, rocketry, biology, robotics and more.

They get to witness the science principles they just learned about in action, thus reinforcing their understanding.

The Open Makerspace: After the lab, it’s time for Open Makerspace! This one of the things that makes our camps special. Campers have the freedom to explore all of our STEM Center, from The Ultimate Slime Station and Microscopes to the Rocket Launch PadMakers Tower, and Lego Robotics. Kids aren’t just following instructions; they’re choosing their own projects, and are free to create, build and play on their own.

Our staff are always on hand to help, answer questions, or even spark new ideas to get creative juices flowing .

At LabRats, the Makerspace isn’t just an add-on-it’s a core part of our mission to cultivate young scientists with the confidence and creativity to explore their passions independently.
