Kids Need the Freedom to Enjoy the Great Outdoors. Our classroom is adjacent to a park, playground, and nature path. Snacks outdoors, PE games, sunshine, and fresh air to keep our campers healthy. Our classroom is directly next to the La Jolla Bike Path which means we get to use nature in our experiments, building projects, and lesson plans so kids can connect what they’re learning with the world around them.
Example of Daily Schedule:
9:00-9:30: Drop off and STEAM Stations
9:30-10:00: Circle time and introduction of activities and lessons for the day
10-10:30: First focused experiment
10:30 – 11:00: Snack and recess outside
11-12:15: Second focused experiment and STEAM Stations
12:15 – 1:15: Lunch and nature hike
1:15 – 2:45: Third focused experiment and STEAM stations
2:45-3:00: Afternoon snack and dismissal
