The La Mesa Village Association’s (LMVA) 9th annual Holiday in the Village event is happening Saturday, December 14th from 12 – 9 pm in the heart of downtown La Mesa. The annual event features enhanced holiday traditions that are fully immersed in La Mesa’s charm.
This year, guests can enjoy all the activities for FREE, including fun new experiences like skating on a synthetic “ice” rink, an “All White Winter Wonderland” kids area filled with inflatable bouncies, Mrs. Claus Reading Nook where families can enjoy listening to holiday themed stories, an adorable Gingerbread House photo booth, Miniature Golf and a fun-themed Elf Adventure Trail where guests can seek out elves sprinkled throughout local businesses and can enter to win one of the elves!
Treasured favorites returning to the Holiday in the Village event include the cherished “Selfies with Santa”, strolling carolers, holiday performances by local schools, clubs and more, fun-themed holiday stilt walkers – perfect for selfies, and an “Elf Yourself” station where guests can outfit themselves in whimsical elf ears.
The event will also feature a variety of food vendors selling fresh popped kettle corn, hot food items, beverages and more, plus a fresh new variety of vendors to shop for unique holiday gifts! And, as the sun goes down, relax with friends and family around cozy fire pits and take in all the merriment of the season that surrounds you in downtown La Mesa.
The downtown restaurants and retail shops will also be open throughout the event for guests to shop, dine and explore.
The 9th Annual Holiday in the Village takes place in the heart of downtown La Mesa along La Mesa Blvd. between 4th Street to Spring St. on Saturday, December 14th from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
