Girls in Aviation Day
Girls in Aviation Day 2026 is a free, family-friendly community event hosted by the San Diego Chapter of Women in Aviation International (WAI San Diego), designed to inspire girls ages 8–18 to explore the exciting worlds of aviation, aerospace, and STEM.
Join us on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Air Center San Diego at Brown Field Municipal Airport for a day filled with hands-on activities, aviation exhibits, STEM experiences, and opportunities to meet aviation professionals.
Girls and their families will have the opportunity to explore a static aircraft display, participate in hands-on STEM activities, visit exhibitors, learn about aviation and aerospace careers, and connect with professionals who can share their experiences and pathways into the industry. The event is designed to provide a welcoming environment where girls can ask questions, discover new interests, and see the many possibilities available to them in aviation and aerospace.
Admission is completely FREE, and families are encouraged to register in advance.
