I have always loved shopping online, it’s something about the convenience of delivery and the avoidance of long lines that has me hooked.

It wasn’t until recently, that I tried my first grocery delivery service. And for all those who know me, I was more than delighted when I learned that Whole Foods Market partnership with Instacart this summer, finally made it to San Diego. Organic foods delivered right to my door, Yes Please!

The process is fairly easy. I went to Instacart’s website and typed in my zip code. Next I picked the store of my choice. I was then taken to Whole Foods Market website were I was able to load up my cart with groceries. When I was finished, I clicked the option for 1 hour delivery service. At first I received an email stating the delivery was in fact going to take an hour and half to complete. But, as soon as I got the email, I received a text saying my Instacart shopper was in the store.

You may be thinking to yourself, “what if I order something and they don’t have it in the store?” Before you order your groceries, you will be given options for replacements if need be.

Throughout the shopping trip, I received text messages whenever there was a replacement. I was also notified when the driver left the store and was on his way. I personally loved this feature, because I felt engaged the whole time as I waited.

Finally, my groceries arrived within the hour promised. Instacart will ask you to rate your experience. I did get cucumbers instead of zucchinis, not a big deal. However, Instacart very quickly reached out to me offering a refund or a replacement. I declined both, although I did appreciate the gesture from the Instacart Happiness Team.

Overall, I had a great experience, and it is something I recommend to busy moms. If you love Whole Foods Market, using Instacart will be a great way to get your grocery shopping done for you, checking one more thing off your to-do list!
