In case you missed any of our San Diego Coffee Moms meet ups recently, here is a recap of where we have been! We are having so much fun meeting up monthly- here’s a bit of what you can expect at a meet up.
San Diego Coffee Moms is just another way we can grow our community. It was born out of necessity! Play dates are great, but what’s even better is finding a coffee shop that is kid friendly to let the kiddos play and let the moms meet. Our moms love to meet up and hang out, and our moms love coffee- it’s what helps us keep up with our active kiddos. Every month we meet up at a new coffee shop to share some great conversation and a warm cup o’ joe.
On August 18th, we gathered at Gathering Grounds Cafe. It has a HUGE open space, so as you can see, the kids had plenty of room to run around and have a great time while our moms chatted and connected.
On September 19th, we went to Pannikin in Encinitas. As you can see- it was super kids friendly and our moms had a blast!
On October 26th, Mc Donald’s sponsored our meetup by giving us free coffee, swag, and delicious fresh baked cookies! They also provided coloring books to keep our kiddos busy while we tried the various coffees that Mc Donald’s recently revamped.
They introduced a new look and new array of café-quality espresso beverages which are made with freshly-ground espresso and U.S.-sourced whole or nonfat milk — in addition to recrafted lattes and mochas! The new beverages include:
Caramel Macchiato: Rich, dark-roast espresso served with whole or nonfat milk, mixed with sweet caramel syrup, and topped with ribbons of buttery caramel drizzle. Available hot or iced.
Cappuccino: A warm, comforting coffee drink made with whole or nonfat steamed milk, bold espresso made from sustainably sourced beans, fluffy foam, and the choice of French Vanilla, caramel or hazelnut flavor.
Americano: Freshly brewed with dark, rich espresso for a strong, bold flavor.
I tried the new Caramel Macchiato and it was delicious!
This new move is part of a commitment by McDonald’s to raise the bar for its customers by offering them All Day Breakfast, Chicken McNuggets made with no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives, McDelivery and more. San Diego County McDonald’s restaurants have recently been renovating and remodeling to create a more modern restaurant experience customers have asked for. The Nobel Drive location has recently undergone a remodel to include dual drive-thrus, self serve kiosks, and a contemporary design that we know you will love!
Each mama went home with “Be Our Guest” cards that offer free Happy Meals and McCafé beverages (no purchase necessary) for attendees to use at any San Diego County restaurant at another time AND a McCafé reusable tote/grocery bag.
We had so much fun talking that we forgot to take pics!
