Compass Charter Schools (CCS) is one of California’s leading TK-12 grade, tuition-free, WASC-accredited charter schools. CCS is committed to creating a collaborative virtual learning community, inspiring scholars to appreciate the ways in which arts and sciences nurture a curiosity for lifelong learning, and preparing scholars to take responsibility for their future successes. Families choose CCS for our innovative online and homeschool programs, both of which offer engaging curriculum and flexibility to meet the unique needs of all scholars. Our credentialed teachers provide fun, rigorous virtual instruction. Our homeschool program provides various curriculum choices for parents who desire to be leaders in all aspects of their child’s daily education. California Pacific Charter – San Diego provides personalized online education to students in 6-12th grade. As a public charter school, we serve students free of cost to families. Our dedicated, high qualified teachers provide personalized support to each student to help them achieve their educational goals. Our school is WASC accredited and our courses are a-g and NCAA approved. Students can access their courses 24/7, providing a flexible alternative to a traditional school schedule.

CalPac takes the regular school day and creates the flexibility to do schoolwork in the way that best suits the needs of each individual. Students have weekly assigned deadlines, but can complete the work each school day at their own pace. They learn with the flexibility of online courses and curriculum, but the consistency of a traditional brick and mortar calendar. Students are expected to keep up with their school assignments, just like a traditional school program. Each week, students have assignments that are accessible through the online platform–anytime a student has internet access, they have access to their entire course curriculum. There are no books or worksheets. Students can access the course content 24/7 and complete work throughout the week at their convenience.

Teachers are available to CalPac students during regular business hours. Each course has a weekly live session, which is held in real time, in our online virtual classroom. Teachers may take students on a virtual field trip, prepare for an upcoming test, or present a PowerPoint to enrich the material that the student is accessing online throughout the week in their course. For extra help, students may sign up for online tutoring offered weekly by each teacher. Teachers are accessible by email, phone, and Instant Messaging. Homeroom teachers work with students and parents to keep students on pace, making sure they are completing work each week to stay on track.

CalPac students interact outside the classroom too. CalPac hosts online events, field trips, and even an annual (online!) talent show each year. Students have the opportunity to create their own clubs, sharing like interests with other students under the guidance and direction of a faculty advisor.

CalPac is currently accepting online students in Middle School and High School from 6th – 12th grade. CalPac serves these counties through California Pacific Charter – San Diego and Community Collaborative Charter. Students must reside in one of the following accepted counties in Southern California. Accepted Counties: Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Ventura.

Excel Academy is a personalized learning public charter that provides a flexible learning environment for TK-12th grade students where teachers and parents partner together and collaborate to ensure the success of each student.
