Man does time fly! Summer is coming to a close, the kids are back in school and pumpkin spice lattes are back. That doesn’t mean things are slowing down around San Diego – September is jam packed with fun events for families, visitors and parents who can get that “kid free” night out.

San Diego Soccer Buddies is holding a Open House Fitness Event on September 14th from 9-11am at the San Diego Indoor Soccer Complex for kids ages 15 months to 12 years old! We will be having one session start at 9am, and then one at 10am for kids to come participate in 50 minutes of nonstop Soccer Buddies fun.

We are encouraging all skill levels to join us in this free event to take a stand against childhood obesity and to start building healthy habits young, and really just to get outside and play!

Reoccurring Events You Don't Want to Miss!


Food Truck Tuesday at Civita Park 

Curbside Bites has launched “Food Truck Tuesdays” from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Civita Park near the large flagpole. The first installment of the festive affair drew a big crowd on June 5th. On June 12th, residents and guests can expect cool cuisine from Monster Crafts, Sicilian Breeze Gelato, The Go Go Truck, Scugnizzi Pizzi, Good Save the Cuisine, R&R Beach City Bistro, Scott Rothman and Jake Mutscheller. A rotating variety of food trucks will participate. The schedule of vendors is available at


WHAMMOCK! at the New Children’s Museum
WHAMMOCK! is the newest commissioned art installation is an interactive, three-dimensional textile environment of colorful crocheted hexagons, open pockets and hanging pendulums. Children are able to move upwards through one pocket after another until they reach a colorful expanse where they can run, slide, bounce and rest. The rhythmic motion evokes the sensation of floating in a swelling sea, stimulating the deepest part of the brain and engaging the child’s sight, touch, movement and balance.

Del Mar Racing Season Kicks off July 17th through September 2nd
San Diego horse racing takes place where the “turf meets the surf” at the Del Mar Racetrack. Fans flock to the track each summer to wager on their favorite horses during the popular, annual Del Mar Thoroughbred Club racing season, mid-July – early-September. 


Every Tuesday Vegan Playgroung Nights  at 4pm

VPG Summer Nights is the go-to weekly night market of San Diego uniting lovers of food, music, and good vibes.
