Celebrate culture, community, and tradition at Vista’s Inaugural Día de los Muertos Festival, happening Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 11:00 AM–5:00 PM along South Santa Fe Avenue in Vista, California.
This free, family-friendly Día de los Muertos celebration in North County San Diego brings the community together for a vibrant day honoring the lives and memories of loved ones through Mexican and Indigenous traditions.
Families can experience traditional ofrendas, live music and entertainment, Ballet Folklórico, cultural performances and demonstrations, a Catrina contest, sugar skull decorating, children’s activities, local food, artisan vendors, community organizations, and more throughout the South Santa Fe corridor.
More than a festival, the event is an opportunity to introduce children and families to the meaning behind Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) while celebrating the art, music, food, traditions, and people that make our region special.
